Buddy Program: A Fast, Safe and Measurable Onboarding System for New Employees
The Grupas Buddy Program is a structured pairing and orientation system that enables new employees to adapt safely, quickly and correctly — both technically and behaviorally — within the first 30–60 days. By pairing a new employee with an experienced "Buddy", it teaches occupational safety culture, production processes, quality parameters and in-shift communication on the shop floor, through hands-on practice. The program is designed end to end, covering selection criteria, the pairing process, a 30-day flow defined by weekly targets (basic adaptation & safety, process learning, supervised practice, competency assessment) and all record documents.
Benefits of the Program for Your Company
- Lower risk of workplace accidents: Awareness of PPE, MSDS/SDS, spill response and high-risk areas is instilled from the very first week.
- Fewer quality defects: Incorrect dosing, contamination and process-related errors decrease significantly.
- Faster adaptation → lower recruitment costs: New employees reach the level of being "ready to work independently" in a short time.
- Reduced turnover rate: Employees who feel supported and safe show higher engagement and job satisfaction.
- Improved environmental and safety compliance: Discipline in procedures, checklists and reporting becomes permanent.
- Strong corporate culture: In-shift communication, team cohesion and knowledge transfer become institutionalized.
- A measurable process: Every step is documented with a daily observation form, weekly evaluation, three-way assessment and the Final Orientation Report.
- Development of Buddies: An internal mentor pool is created through training in effective communication, feedback, leadership, adult education (andragogy) and risk awareness.
