AIAG Core Tools – Control Plan Training
The foundation of defect-free manufacturing in the automotive industry is a correctly structured Control Plan. Grupas' AIAG Core Tools – Control Plan training teaches end to end how to define, control and document the product and process characteristics that meet customer and engineering expectations. The training covers the prototype, pre-launch, Safe Launch and production control plan phases, IATF 16949 requirements, special characteristics (SC/CC), reaction plans and the use of the control plan checklist through sample formats.
The program also covers advanced topics such as the relationship between the PFD (Process Flow Diagram) – FMEA – Control Plan, the Reverse FMEA link, LPA (Layered Process Audit), and control plans for highly automated and Black Box processes.
What It Brings to Your Company
- Zero-defect oriented production: securing critical characteristics with the right control methods, reducing scrap and rework costs
- Compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements; stronger documentation in audit and PPAP processes
- Real control of risks on the shop floor by consistently establishing the PFD–FMEA–Control Plan chain
- Rapid intervention in abnormal situations thanks to effective reaction plans, lowering the risk of shipping defective parts to the customer
- Safer product launches and demonstrated process capability (Cpk/Ppk) with a phase-based approach (prototype → pre-launch → production)
- Efficiency in control costs through optimized sample frequencies and SPC applications
- Maintaining process stability with a continuous improvement cycle and dynamic control plan revisions
Who Should Attend
