DELMIA Ortems — Production Scheduling
Optimized shop-floor schedule under machine, labor and material constraints
Ortems Production Scheduling builds a virtual twin of machines, labor, tooling, materials and processes to produce an optimized, sequenced, executable shop-floor schedule at finite capacity. It respects setup times and priorities and reschedules in seconds on disruption or a rush job.
How it works
It digitally models the shop with all resources and constraints; optimization sequences jobs to cut setup loss and meet due dates. The planner tries scenarios and intervenes on the Gantt; when machine, labor or material changes, the schedule updates instantly and flows to MES/floor.
Core functions
- Finite-capacity detailed schedule (virtual twin)
- Setup and sequencing optimization (campaign/color/tooling)
- Rapid rescheduling on disruption/rush job
- Gantt view, scenarios and drag-and-drop override
- Integration with ERP and MES
Benefits for organizations
- Short cycle time and low work-in-process (WIP)
- High on-time delivery
- Reduced setup losses
- Fast, controlled response to variability
- Higher resource utilization and productivity
Who is it for? Where is it used?
For mid-sized manufacturers with complex, constrained, frequently-changing production (auto suppliers, food, cosmetics, pharma, plastics, metals) — planning and shop-floor teams. Ideal to connect ERP with the real shop-floor schedule.
