OKR: Focus with Objectives and Key Results
A performance framework that aligns the organization around an ambitious Objective and measurable Key Results.
What is OKR?
OKR pairs 'Where do we want to go?' (Objective — qualitative, inspiring) with 'How do we know we got there?' (Key Results — 3–5 quantitative, measurable outcomes). It runs in quarterly cycles and is transparent to all.
How it differs from KPIs
KPIs track current performance; OKRs set ambitious targets for change and growth. A good OKR system still includes KPIs: health metrics to protect plus OKRs that push forward, used together.
