Process Management: Anchoring Work to Processes, Not People

Turning end-to-end work into defined, measured and continuously improved processes for consistency and efficiency.

What is process management?

Process management defines an organization's work as input–activity–output chains, assigns owners and performance metrics, and improves them regularly. Results then depend on a defined, repeatable process rather than specific individuals.

How to start

First map the core processes (e.g., Makigami or a flowchart), assign an owner and KPIs to each, measure bottlenecks and waste, then improve with the PDCA cycle. Process management is the common ground of ISO, EFQM and operational excellence work.
